Water Recycling Fish Farm
If you’d like to build a better fish farm that recycles at least 95% of its water, you have to build it much like the human body. The system needs to process food and oxygen, filter out waste and carbon dioxide, and circulate fluid. That’s where the Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos comes in.
Surprisingly, despite the various pumps, the system is largely gravity-driven, with water flowing from the highest to lowest tank, where pumps lift it to begin the cycle again.
